The Tears of Joy

Apr 2. 2011 @The First Korean Church of New Jersey

The Tears of Joy

There was a broken vase.
The broken vase wanted to contain flowers in it.
but it was not able to do so
because of its brokenness.

There was an ugly and hard stone.
The ugly stone wanted to cover the broken part of the vase,
but it was not able to do so
because of its hardness.

There was a crazy glue.
It was a trouble maker everywhere it went
because of its crazy stickiness.

One day, God made them who were broken, ugly, hard and crazy to meet together.
And they had to shed many tears,
because, because, because...

When all of them gathered together,
the broken vase was able to contain beautiful flowers,
the ugly and hard stone became warm love for others,
and the crazy glue found the meaning and purpose of its sticky being.
The tears did not indicate their sadness and sickness,
but rather, joy and thanksgiving.

When we gather together,
the new possibilities of love, recovery and revaluing are found in our lives.

I was fixing a broken vase through glueing a small stone on it.
At the time, suddenly the glue shed down.
so, i wrote this.
